Detour
Due to unforeseen circumstances I will not being seeing Narnia opening night (which is only two sleeps away). My Japanese friends would rather wait a week and avoid the crowds and need to rush to get tickets in advance. So it is again 9 sleeps till I see the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. I am disappointed in having to wait again and trying to console myself that it will be a good time of fellowship with the ladies when I do go. If I spoke Japanese or was brave I think I would try to got to Namba and get the tickets by myself but I am not.

well, just something to keep looking forward to :)
Hey, hopefully all the hype and anticipation won't make the movie less enjoyable for you. I too am waiting until next weekend or even the weekend after to avoid the craziness!

WHAT!!!!!!!
WAIT!!!!!!!
I've seen MANY, MANY, MANY movies in my life, and one of the BEST features of seeing it on the big screen is seeing it opening night. Yes there are crowds and tons of people but it's the audience reactions that make it so great. When the theatre is full it's like one large body watching the movie. Not a bunch of small groups where people are afraid to laugh because it might disturb someone 5 rows away. When it's FULL everyone laughs and everyone shares in the comradery. Not to mention the anticipation of the long line waiting to be let in, where everyone becomes instant friends all eager to see something they have been waiting for. There's that extra bit of movie magic seeing it opening night, being one of the first (in Japan at least) to see the movie.
Sorry for the rant cuz. But it annoys me when people are "afraid" to see it opening night just because there is some extra work and a little discomfort involved.
William.
Thanks Cuz, you're not helping.
Matthew I hope you're right. But I am starting to have fear that Andrea might be right.
I hope Matthew is right, I am excited and think it will be great. Besides you can't really make a lot of noise in a Japanese theatre anyway, even when there are a lot of other people there as you might "annoy the neighbors" I think you are more free to make noise in a Japanese theatre when there are less people there.
Liz hun, just wanted to let you know youre going to be a something....think about it long enough, you'll get what i mean ;)
