Pan World

This is my favorite bakery of all times:

It is the best in the area. (Robin -for argument sake Mermaid is a close second). It is more than the wonderful baked goods, the owners make the place delightful, they are both so cute. Today they let me in the back of the shop to watch the making of tasty treats...

They try very hard to speak English and even learned to sing "happy birthday" for my 25th. I also enjoy the sweet treats they always seem to add to my bag after I've paid. Visiting their shop is a breath of fresh air to my soul. I can't help but smile and be thankful when I leave the shop. So, praise God for people, I am blessed!

SpoCha

Maki took Steve, Tiff and I to Round 1 today to try SpoCha. It is a complex with the best of amusement and sports under one roof. We got to try some different things: mini golf, bowling, karaoka, badminton and much, much more. It was a blast! Enjoyed myself but it was more then the activities…it was the people. Yeah for friends.

Nihongo

Konnchiwa. Watashi wa Liz desu. Kanada-jin desu. Eigo no sensei desu. Watashi wa Nihongo wo benkyou shite imasu. Translation: Hello, I am Liz. I am Canadian. I am an English teacher. I am learning Japanese.

…or at least I am trying. I’ve been attending language classes every other Saturday. It’s coming along slowly. One of my big accomplishments is being able to say "I like…" the other is talking about hobbies. I’ve had so much fun I want to share my new found knowledge. So... What are your hobbies -Anata no shumi wa nani desuka?

The responce is: Shumi wa _____ desu. My hobby is…

Kamera –Photography
E –Painting
Ongaka –Listening to music
Uta –Singing
Piano –Playing piano
Gita –Guitar
Haikingu –Hiking
Gorugu –Golf
Basukettoboru –Basketball
Eiga –Watching movies
Dokusho –Reading
Ryori –Cooking
Ryoko -Travelling

To add more then one hobby use "to" (pronounced toe) which is similar to "and". I’ll go first:
Shumi wa ryoko to dokusho to eiga to ongaku to ewo kakukoto desu.

Your turn: Anata no shumi wa nani desuka?

Shirahama

Had a long nap, I am very well rested and ready to share Monday’s sight seeing "adventure". We were about three hours from Osaka in Shirahama, the "local" beach/swimming area. First part of the day was at Adventure World, a marine/safari park. Steve and Tiffany also have pictures up from the day.

"so long and thanks for all the fish"

Melvin got up close and personal with some of the wild life.

Birds of a Feather...or something like that

The Pacific Ocean: Hard to believe Canada is just a long swim away.

In the Pacific, for the first time (okay mom, I know if you are reading this you're going to tell me that you and dad put me in the Pacific when I was a baby. But does that really count? This is the first time that I actually remember the event)

Two is Better Then One

Had an amazing day, an adventure day -at Adventure World. Saw some animals, ate some food, walked a lot. Think I got too much sun. Best of all I found double the bubble:

More to come after I get some sleep.
